Career started late 1970's studying Civil Engineering. Bachelors / Masters degree qualified, double Chartered Status ( RICS / CABE ), recognised as an expert in building regulations. Member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors.
With an overall career in the specialism of building control spanning well over 30 years, he has been a major projects surveyor for no less than 20 years in that category of responsibility, having been involved in numerous major landmark projects now adorning the skyline over London in particular.
International circuit Trainer Presenter in the subject of Building Regulations (UK). Served on numerous technical committees both in local government and private sector. Currently Vice Chair with the Association of Consultant Approved Inspectors.
As of 2017 has gained 29 years of relevant building regulation experience, acquired in significant technical and managerial roles whilst in local authority based building control (Last significant position held in public Sector with London Borough of Southwark (Building Control) as Group Manager, Head of Technical & Engineering.)
Has although held both senior and principle level building control positions in the following London boroughs - London Boroughs of Camden, Tower Hamlets, Ealing & Southwark.
Last 15 years of his professional career in particular was been involved in numerous major projects, which include The British Library London, University College Hospital London, Kings Cross Regeneration projects, Channel 4 Studios, MTV Studios, Tescos (Bow), Sainsburys (Camden), Shard of Glass (London Bridge), Strata Towers (Elephant & Castle), Millharbour & Crossharbour Docklands Developments, Tate Modern, Imperial war museum London - to name just a very few.
Technical columnist for Trinity Mirror Newspapers (as the "Property Doctor" 2005-2007) in a number of their publications.
Ex-Southern Regional Chairman (serving 5 years) for - Chartered Association of Building Engineers.
Authorised to carry out building inspections and reporting to various banking and insurance institutions as a practising expert member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
He registered and started a company called Building Control Surveyors Ltd (BCS) which offered Approved Inspectors services in 2011 (commonly referred to as BCS Approved Inspectors ) having been granted a Corporate Licence to practice, following a very rigorous vetting process administered by the Construction Industry Council, on behalf of the Government's Secretary of State. During 2011 his first office opened which was shared with other surveying and construction companies which allowed him to form Building Control Surveyors Ltd - Approved Inspectors in Buckhurst Hill Essex.
